Attended high school, Pottstown, Pa.; Temple University, Philadelphia, Pa, (preliminary medical education) ; Medico-Chirurgical College of Piiiladelphia, M. D., 1905; post-graduate courses at New York City Post-Graduate Hospital, summer of 1908; University of Edinburgh and University of Vienna, 1911. Moved to Arizona in 1905 ; practiced at Wickenburg, Ariz. ; chief surgeon of the Helvetia Mining Co. at Helvetia, Ariz.; specialized a year in lung practice with Dr. F. M. Pottenger at Pottenger Tuberculosis Sanatorium, Monrovia, Cal. ; returned to Arizona, and practiced at Jerome ; moved to Ocean Park, Cal., 1910; now lecturer on Medicine, College of Physicians & Surgeons, University of So. New Welfare Clinic. -- Twenty-seven physicians of Santa Monica and vicinity have agreed to give part time free of charge to the work of the recently established Santa Monica Welfare Clinic in order to provide medical service for residents who are unable to pay. The clinic, it is reported, is sponsored by the Santa Monica Welfare Council and by the Women's Welfare Club and by the local branch of the Los Angeles County Medical Society. Dr. Howard Wilson Levengood has been elected chairman of the staff, and Dr. Louis E. Mahoney, secretary.
