J Am Med Assoc. 1945;129(14):976-978: Hamner Carson Irwin, Orange, Texas ; University of Maryland School of Medicine, Baltimore, 1905 ; member of the American Medical Association ; at one time a fellow at the Mayo Foundation in Rochester, Minn. ; during World War I served as major in the medical corps, British Expeditionary Forces, and was relieved from service in the U. S. Army with the rank of lieutenant colonel ; died in the Veterans Administration Facility, Legion, August 6, aged 67, of coronary arteriosclerosis, pulmonary atelectasis and emphysema.
