Mentioned in the 1926-12-14 Minutes of the Pima County Medical Society, 1904-1954: “A communication was read from the Tucson Chamber of Commerce, submitting a list of names from whom the Society was asked to choose three persons to be nominees representing the Medical Group on the Board of Directors (one to be elected) of the Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Clyne nominated Dr. Hicks, ‘Dr.’ Rockefeller and ‘Dr.’ Shaffer. Moved by Dr. Watson, seconded by Dr. Thomas that the name of Dr. Lackner be substituted for that of Dr. Hicks.”
Wouldn’t seem to be Robert Alan Hicks (q.v.) as he obtained his medical license in 1932 and became a PCMS member in 1932.
Two other Hicks that appear in the Arizona Medical Board "Doctor Search" and who received their medical degree before 1926 are Ernest L. Hicks and James O. Hicks. (It's possible, however, that neither of them ever practiced in Tucson.)
