Mentioned in the 11/12/1946 Minutes of the Pima County Medical Society, 1904-1954. Also 1/6/1949: “A letter from Dr. J.M. Hesser, of Benson, Arizona, was read, in which he tendered his resignation from this society because of his inability to attend meetings held in Tucson. After discussion, instructions were given that a letter be written Dr. Hesser advising him that it is against the wishes of the Society to accept his resignation until his plans are more definite, since membership in the State Society is contingent upon membership in a County Society, and that action upon his letter is being held awaiting word from him as to the steps he will take.” Also 1/31/1949: “A letter from Dr. J.M. Hesser was read by the Secretary, in which he stated that he was a member of the Cochise Medical Society. Motion was made and seconded that Dr. Hesser's wish to be dropped from the Pima County Medical Society be complied with.”
