Co., 1930, volume 4 (Arizona biography), pages 47-48: For over a quarter of a century Dr. Charles Lynn Hathaway, has capably ministered to the physical welfare to the people of Winslow, Arizona and during this period has held a leading place among the reliable physicians of this part of the state. He was born in Lee County, Iowa on December 3, 1869 and is the second in order of birth of the four children who blessed the union of Peter and Elizabeth (McCullough) Hathaway, the former of whom was a farmer throughout his active life. He received his elementary education in the public schools of Keokuk and after attending high school he took a basins course in the Capitol City Commercial College at Des Moines. He then matriculated in the Keokuk Medical College, from which he graduated in 1902. He entered his profession in Marysville, Iowa where he remained about six months, and then on January 6, 1903 came to Winslow, Arizona where he has devoted his attention to his profession to the present time. Dr. Hathaway married Emma Littlefield Kerr and they have a son William Maxwell, now nineteen years of age, who is attending the State Teachers College at Flagstaff.
