JAMA, Feb 1969; 207: 1455: National Foundation. Birth Defect Advisors Named. Two physicians have been appointed medical consultants to the National Foundation-March of Dimes. Robert E. Cooke, MD, pediatrician-in-chief, the Johns Hopkins Hospital.... Ralph W. Gause, MD, will assist in development of expanded March of Dimes programs in prenatal care to birth defects. Dr. Gause is chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Roosevelt Hospital, New York city, and clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Cornell University School of Medicine. JAMA, Nov 1970; 214: 1646: Ralph W. Gause, MD, has been appointed director of grants for The National Foundation-March of Dimes. His main job will be to develop and manage research grants at the national level and to handle medical service grants at the chapter level. Prior to his appointment, Dr. Gause, chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Roosevelt Hospital, New York City, served as obstetrical consultant to the Foundation.
