Excerpts: Born in New Orleans, December 11, 1889. Private practice in Aldrich, Alabama. Married Annot Lyle Vaught of New Orleans. Accepted an offer from his wife’s uncle, Gen. Gargas, to become a medical officer in the Army Reserve. Sent to Fort Ringgold, Texas. The fort had been abandoned, but was reactivated because of Pancho Villa’s raids. Left the Army in 1916 to become a professor of gynecology at Tulane University where he later became assistant professor of surgery. In 1927 stricken with sinusitis and neuritis and forced to retire. Two years later he came to Bisbee, then Douglas, as a health seeker. For three years he worked as a doctor for Phelps Dodge, then opened the private practice which he still continues.
