Drachman was past president of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), past president of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), past president of the American Society of Real Estate Counselors (ASREC), and one of the first Certified Commercial Investment Members (CCIM) in Tucson. He was a long-time supporter of the University of Arizona and instrumental in the development of The Drachman Institute (www.drachmaninstitute.org).
