Dobson, (Mrs.)

See History of Arizona medicine; collections of Orville Harry Brown, M.D. [AHSL Special Collections WZ 70 AA7 H673]: In 1879, Yuma residents had their first woman physician, Dr. Dobson. Publicity regarding her arrival was in the Sept. 28, 1878, edition of the Arizona Sentinel and stated in part: “ladies and childrens’ diseases a specialty.” Dr. Dobson’s education and length of residence in Yuma are not known.
