HOUSE RESOLUTION 10: A RESOLUTION ON THE DEATH OF THE HONORABLE DOCTOR C. C. CREIGHTON. On November 6, 1962, the Honorable Dr. C. C. Creighton passed away in Camp Verde, Arizona, at the age of fifty-nine years. Dr. Creighton, a native of Arizona, was born in Phoenix on September 19, 1903. He received his high school education at Phoenix Union High School. He was a graduate of Occidental College in Los Angeles and McGill University Medical School in Montreal, Canada. Dr. Creighton interned at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix. In 1934, Dr. Creighton moved to Flagstaff, Arizona and entered the practice of medicine there. He served on the Board of Arizona Medical Examiners and was President of that body for a term. In 1942, Dr. Creighton served his Country as a member of the Army Medical Corps. He entered the service as a Captain and served in the Italian and African campaigns of World War II. By the time of his return to Flagstaff, in 1945, Dr. Creighton had attained the rank of Major. Since that time, he practiced medicine in the Flagstaff area until his retirement about four years ago. During his retirement years, Dr. Creighton was active in the formation of a local country club and served as the club's President. He also operated his ranches, located north of Flagstaff and at Camp Verde and had always been interested in livestock and agriculture. Since his retirement, Dr. Creighton learned to fly and accumulated more than two hundred hours of flying time. Dr. Creighton died shortly before the results of the November election were announced and therefore never knew that he had been chosen by the citizens of Coconino County to represent them in the House of Representatives during the Twenty-sixth Legislature. The Legislature keenly feels the loss of Dr. Creighton's assistance in meeting the many challenges which it has faced and will continue to face during this term. Therefore – Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of Arizona: That the members of the House of Representatives sincerely regret the passing of the Honorable Dr. C. C. Creighton, and do, therefore, extend condolences to the surviving members of his family. Adopted by the House-March 4, 1963. Approved by the Governor-March 4, 1963.
