Co., 1930, volume 4 (Arizona biography), page 39: The health of the people of Seligman, Yavapai County, is being well looked after by Dr. John W. Connor, who is a capable and reliable physician and is enjoying a large practice. He was born in Monroe County, Ohio on the 6th day of June 1873 and is a son of Joseph and Barbara (Kasserman) Connor, of whose three children he is the youngest. His father followed farming pursuits for many years in Ohio and in 1924 retired and came to California, where he is now living, at the advanced age of ninety three years. John W. Connor was educated in the public schools of Ohio and in the Central Normal School at Danville, Ohio, in which he took a special preparatory course. He entered upon his medical studies in Cincinnati completing them in the Southwestern Medical College at Louisville, Kentucky from which he graduated in 1903. He entered practice in Louisville where he remained until 1906 when he came to Seligman, Arizona. After practicing here tow years, he went to Mohave county, where he engaged in his profession for ten years. In 1918 he returned to Seligman and commands a large practice in medicine and surgery. Dr. Connor married Maud L. Banta, a native of Illinois, and they are the parents of two children: Mildred and John Jr., both of whom are at home. The Doctor is a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and professional belongs to the Yavapai County Medical Society, the Arizona State Medical Society and the American Medical Assc. He has shown himself a worthy citizen, supporting every movement for the betterment of his community, and his professional success has gained for him a high place in public esteem.
