Benson, Minnie C.

Mentioned in 12/9/1924 Minutes of the Pima County Medical Society, 1904-1954 as Miss Benson; subsequently as Minnie Benson (e.g. 10/10/1933 minutes: recipient of a letter of appreciation for work done in behalf of Referendum No. 304.) Listed in 1948 Tucson City Directory as property owner of 1620 Heddrick Drive which then had the telephone number 2818 (the number for the “Doctors Central Directory”).

Per PCMS 50th Anniversary program: “The PCMS gave its support to the Tucson Health Center, which the American Red Cross sponsored in 1922, and which Miss Minnie C. Benson directed until 1930.”

She attended a meeting at which "Graduate nurses of Grays Harbor County took preliminary steps to organize a Grays Harbor Nurses' Association, which will be a branch of the [Washington State Graduate Nurses' Association]" held in Aberdeen Red Cross headquarters.
