Southwestern Medicine, May 1926; 10(5), 227: Ernest William Baum (Phoenix, Ariz.). In the death of Doctor Ernest W. Baum, of Phoenix, another of the pioneer physicians of Arizona has passed away. Doctor Baum was, for many years, located in Bisbee, to which city he came in 1903. About ten years later he came to Phoenix, where he practiced until his recent death. Dr. Baum took his medical degree at Rush Medical College in 1895, and was fifty-two years of age at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife and one daughter. He was a faithful member of county and state organizations, and maintained Fellowship in the American Medical Association. Resolutions of sympathy were passed at the recent state meeting in Globe, over the loss sustained by the organized profession of the state.
