Concerns new Pagaduria which will operate independently of Alamo treasury. Concerns Vargas' change in post and salary. Discussion of new accountant for Alamos treasury. Gregori's aid thanked. Concerns provision of uniforms and arms for Fages' company. Virrey confirms his awareness of contruction in Chihuahua of house and fabrica. Change in post for Escobar. Congratulation of birth of Asturias son. Croix repeats orders from Mayorga to be careful of English insults on the coast of California and Sonora and forwards order to Hughes. Croix acknowledges receipt of list of discharged soldiers; receipt of expediente about uncollected tribute in Rosario maloy y Copala and Guadalajara mines. Croix requests that 10,000 peso of his salary be sent and letter confirms fulfillment of request concerns mission establishment among Yumas and inquiry into Bucareli's leaving a sum in his will for this. Concerns delivering of Garibay's salary; mention of expediente on west coast pearl search. Concerns Moncada's activities at reenlistment, receipt of mules, horses, and cattle, and trip to new California with families and cattle. (L. L. Woodward, June 1988)

Summary
Virreynato orders detachment of troops to be relieved by another detachment; two detachments are to go to Guadalaxara in October and November. Rengel advised to liquidate estate of Neve and send it to Maria Pereyra. Dominguez to be given alcaldia in reward for valor and services. expediente being sent to excuse hazenderos of Nueva Vizcaya from excise taxes due to drought. Ugarte y Loyola's salary agreed on and sent to him. Arce sent to provincias as sargent. Ugarte y Loyola thanks virrey for salary. Various officers are promoted and sent to new posts. (D. J.
