Summary
Vicencio Cortes del rey sells Esclava mulata- Josepha Morales- to Antonia de Amparan for 300 pesos. Before the transfer of title is completed. Valerio Cortes del rey (Brother of Vicencio) appears with 300 pesos and demands the liberty of Maria Josepha, as he wants to marry her. It develops Valerio obtained the 300 pesos from Maria Josepha, who stole them from Fransisco Colza. The case then changes status from civil to criminal. It is not resolved. (P. Hayes) (1977)

Diego de Vilchis is a wealthy man. His testament lists nine slaves, all of whom he gives to various relatives and friends. The one exception is a Mulata, named Ynes, the Mother of all his other mulatos, who is set free because of her long and faithful service. the inventario, frames 1943-1960, includes the following prices for slaves- (R. Perez) (1977) additional slave sales- Mulata, 60 yrs., 150 pesos. Negro, 28 yrs., 300 pesos. Mulato, 24 yrs., 300 pesos. Mulata, 25 years, 300 pesos. Mulato, 2 Months, 100 pesos. Mulato, 2 years, 150 pesos. Mulata, 11 years, 280 pesos. Mulata, 12 years, 300 pesos.
