Summary
Documents deal with Ugarte's request for salary increase. He states that salary does not cover expenses for inspecting presidios that are being constructed. He wants his salary to be equal to that of governors of Texas and Nueva Mexico. real hacienda grants increase and for Sonora's governor. King decides that salary increases are unwarranted, and that Ugarte should receive a one time bonus to cover his travel expenses to the presidios. Increase does not apply to Sonora's governor. (J. Requests permission for troops to travel to Mexico and Querataro to purchase supplies. Acknowledges instructions to treat Lipanes kindly in case of rival attack.
