Series of unnumbered letters from Vaamonde to virrey conde that interpret royal announcement relating to religious institutions, sending of 7 converted Indians under escort of 3 soldiers to be presented to the virrey during his visit to capital of Nuevo Leon, request that the virrey provide Indian converts with food and transportation, Vaamonde's anxiety that false rumors about him may be the cause of his not getting the promotion to Coronel de Infanteria del ejercito, improvement in the status of his province and once again the promotion. A Series of letters written by Vaamonde Villamil to el conde de Revilla Gigedo all of which relate to petition for promotion to Coronel de Infanteria del ejercito and include 3 copies of a letter which include detailed accounting of his military career in Mexico and Spain (war against the English) in support of his petition. Continuation of correspondence with Escandon concerning affairs along Costa del Seno Mexicano; epidemic of unspecified disease which has caused suspension of labor in mines of Sierra Tamaulipa; damage to corn crops and livestock caused by drought in 1764; petitions virrey to promote to rank of Mariscal; sends expedition to survey northern coastline of Nuevo Santander. Expedition describes complex system of outer sand banks, discovery of Island off of San Juan mission near mouth of Nuezes discovery of wreckages of English and French ships. Letters from Lorca y Villera in April, 1774. Concerns list of military employees, detailed description of their military service and tables listing number of military administrators; teniente, Coronel, and governadores with the number of years worked in position. Second set of letters concerns remission of eight Indians and discusses problems with their travel. Indians became sick and one died thus made impossible to send them to new location.
