Relocation of personnel to fill vacancies in several companies; arguments over whether military wages should be controlled by civil or military employees; granting permission for marriage to two officers; granting discharge from military to Valdez, his service record, description of injuries that prevent him from further service; F.102 is Croix' service record, apparently Ugalde is asking for his resignation. Calleja provides informes concerning granting of licencias y ascensos to various members of milicianas provinciales of Nuevo Santander and Nuevo Reyno de Leon. Cresencio de Enderica receives license to go to capital to cure unspecified illness. Granting of real licencia to Morales and to five officials of militia companies of Leon. F. 149 is list of all companies, the vacant posts found in each company, and the individuals recommended to fill said vacancies. Ff. 150-175 provides description of each vacant post and gives brief biographies of each individual recommended for each post. Three candidates are recommended for each vacancy. Promotions and appointments of individuals of companies of Nuevo Santander, Camargo, and frontera. F. 107 Calleja recommends promotions of Lopez Prieto, Garcia, and Cuellar. Garza's retirement request denied due to his incomplete years of required service. Gomez' similar request also denied. Vedia y Pinta's request for retirement denied because he lacks the required twenty years of military service. Request by Calleja to admit Carlos Garcia de Arista into the primera compania volante de Nuevo Santander. Gonzales requests retirement due to advanced age and unspecified illness. (P. Absence of two Cabos from milicias provinciales de Veracruz. Panes requests that two replacements, Reyes and Arroyo, join company from their regimento de dragones de Mexico. Panes informed that Arroyo is in Hospital and that Mexican company has five vacant squadrons and cannot afford to transfer men. Panes informed to receive replacements from dragones de Espana. F. 8 not related to above. Concerns methods given to Panes about best methods for maintenance of horses. (P. Lenz, April 1990)

Montes requests licencia absoluta and offers to supply his own replacement. Provides Ten pesos of his own money to facilitate process. Remainder of document concerns rules for granting of licencia absoluta. Montes' request denied.
