Military Campaigns

Military promotions of Gutierres to sargent and Echegaray as Ayudante inspector. Echegaray reports that he is arranging soldiers, supplies, horses and weapons for Ugalde's campaign including trade of horses and mules. Ugalde is notified of Gonzalez de Santianes' death. Soldiers, horses, mules and supplies are sent from Punta de Lampazos to Monterrey to join other companias in Ugalde's campaign. Indians from San Christoval mision lead by capitancillo Montes, are said to have committed robbery. Autos for the trial of Espadas for the disappearance of 1500 pesos during during his provisional military administration. Echegaray, designated as provisional governor of Nuevo Reyno de Leon due to illness of Gonzalez de Santianes, reports on the military situation of Nuevo Leon. Soldiers, horses, mules and supplies from primera compania Nuevo Reyno de Leon are sent to hacienda de las Sardinas to join other companies in Ugaldes first campaign against the Mescalero Apaches.
