After deliberating on the advice of the members of the council of war, and receiving intelligence reports from scouts and spies, the governor decides to send a sizeable contingent of soldiers, consisting of both Spaniards and natives, against the Apaches de Navajo, to punish them for their raid in San Yldephonsso. Report of capitan de Uribarri on alleged unrest amoung Acoma, Zuni, and la Laguna Indians. It seems a certain Indian, Ytacae, lied to some Apaches about plans by the above Indians to kill them.
