Allande comments on the sighting of americans in the Arroyo de las Yutas, and that he (Allande) plans to send out a large patrol of soldiers and settlers from the jurisdictions of Rio Arriba. Civil suit begun by Antonio Ximenes, representing Manuela Carrio, to recover a debt from Agustin Beyta resulting from a contract involving sheep. To aid in the recovery of the debt Ximenes offered to pay half to the royal treasury. Case decided in favor of Carrio - Beyta admitting his failure to fulfill his obligation to deliver a set number of sheep and quantity of wool per year. (Robert H. Jackson) (1980)
