Appointment made in order to have better control of area, and for faster conversion of Indians. Discussion of duties among Croix and viceroy concerning region, as well as the relationship between Croix and the governors and military officials of area; discussion of salaries for Croix and other government officials; discussion of best ways for converting Indians, and for controlling warring ones.
