Among points discussed in original Escandon report are- 1) resettlement of town of Camargo to a different and better location. 2) number of people, livestock, seed, etc. In Reynosa, Burgos, San Fernando, Mier, Revilla and Dolores. 3) support of priests by Indian contributions of corn. 4) incoming settlers to increase Spanish population. 5) reduction of Pame Indians, and those in Santander. 6) lack of priests. Viceroy orders governor of Texas to sell as many cattle as possible, to the French in new Orleans, who are suffering from a lack of meat. French have written to viceroy asking this, apparently after having received no satisfaction from the governor of Texas, who stated there was no extra cattle to be spared. but viceroy orders governor to do so explaining that Spanish have received help from French in new Orleans.
