Summary
While Cabello conferred with Texas Indians, he got word that 5 Lipan chiefs were on the way. Cabello gave safe Passage to Former as far as Rio Guadalupe. Lipan chiefs stated they were seeking peace with Texas group, and that they were in the area to return stolen horses and hunt buffalo. (R. Graham) (1979)

Texas Indians went to Bexar to discuss an attack on Apaches. de Mezieres, who is ill with a tumor, was supposed to lead them. However the Indians and a group of Criollos from Natchitoches request Spanish help and Cabello's leadership. Cabello asks de Croix that a squadron be sent to Rio Grande, and also for a decision on the matter. Also discusses surgery performed on de Mezieres, and accomodations given to visitors. (R. Summary
Concerns relationship of Lipanes and Mescaleros. As a result of a previous encounter between both groups some Lipanes are dead and 600 animals were stolen. Governor of Coahuila had appeased Lipanes who were going to avenge Mescaleros. Advises Cavello that he should help out southern Indian groups or else they would be wiped out by naciones del Norte (Comanches or other plains groups?). (R. Graham) (1979)
