The new governor Don Antonio Oca Sarmiento orders a review of military expenses. Each Ciudad and Pueblo reports its expenses and a statement of its needs. Information of indio activity under regime of past governor Francisco de Gorraez Beaumont. Sarmiento only lasted in his post less than a full year. Three Apache Indian slaves from New Mexico, Juan, Angelina, and Maria, attack and kill Diego Cano de los Rios' Sister Antonia Cano. The Indians are sentenced to life imprisonment working on a Montero. (R. Davis) (1976)
